Kindergarten Registration

Does anyone else out there have a work-a-holic husband? Well I do!  I love him. I love that he works hard enough for our family, so that I get to stay home with my daughter.  That is a luxury that few are afforded these days.  But I am in Bit@# mode at the moment.  I have asked for over a month, and reminded him that Kindergarten registration is coming up.  I have reminded him of the date, and let him know in no uncertain terms, that he is expected to attend.  His response is more like what I would expect to get if I asked him to build a gadget to shrink the moon, and get it for me, a la the movie, Despicable Me. Back to this argument in a few minutes.

He and his mother have been trying to convince me to home school my youngest child.  She is the last one , the baby.  They have been waging a war against me, including the immunization battle.  The MIL even checked into paying for private school for said child, only to find it was akin to paying for breast implants! For kindergarten! So she scratched that idea!  She dove me batshit crazy about the immunizations, until I called our pediatrician, and the health department to question if they could get the shots without mercury in them. She had heard, and read, and saw on tv, and , and, and out the wazoo, until she bestowed upon herself a degree from WebMD in immunizology! At the pediatrician's office, they had never even heard of such a thing. Or given that option from their supplier! Seriously MIL, you weren't such a hot shot as a mom, quit trying to micromanage my kid!  So if I home school ,she doesn't have to have the shots, etc.  ARGH! Good grief!  Oh and I forgot one of the funniest things!  She said that you want to take every precaution with the child, because when a child is already pre-dispositioned to having autism, you just wan t to be extra careful, and do everything you can to prevent it "happening".  WTF? Seriously? If the good lord above meant for my child to have autism, then she will have it, shots or not.  There are studies that claim to prove that immunization shots triggered autism in children, but there are just as many that are never publicized that prove the two are not linked.  Oh wait a minute! I forgot! She is an expert! She must have a minor she forget to mention in autism-spectrum disorders, in conjunction with the Immunizology WebMD Degree! Totally my Bad!

Okay, so back to dear ol' dad.  So registration is the day after tomorrow.  I asked him yesterday to ask his boss today if he could be like maybe an hour late for work, to go to Kindergarten registration.  When I asked him this evening if he had asked yet, he replied I have a job, I just can't leave whenever I want.  No duh dipshit. That is why your loving wifey has reminded you multiple times to ask for permission.  He has a very laid back boss, who would say yes, if he just asked.  It's not like he doesn't work open to close every single day, and goes in on his day off.  He works extra hours, works his day off, even is going out of town with his boss to tour the factory on his day off this week! So I pointed out to him that this was our last kid, and she only started school once in her life.  Not to mention I am going to be a blubbering mess and will need him.  Plus it probably will not take that long! Registration for her FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! EVER! MONUMENTAL EVENT!

Did I mention I will be a blubbering mess? A hot mess?  An I-am-so-not-ready for my baby to start school mess!  The uterus is closed, there will be no more baby making jumping of the bones during ovulation, when I have empty nest syndrome mess.  The this is it ya'll! mess.  The I cannot call my mommy anymore and cry to her, and hear her tell me it will be okay because she is with Jesus, all alone mess. Like the first, rip my heart out, of many more to come, rip my heart out momentous occasions, hot royal mess, mess.  The all alone-alone mess, because my MIL and hub do not want her to start school anyway, mess. A mess with a capital M mess. I popped her out of my hoochie girl mess, and am entitled to cry as much as I want to about her first day of school mess! Not my baby anymore, and the beginning of indoctrination mess! The friends are more important than mommy , growing up, end of our time together, mommy kisses don't fix boo boos anymore, mess! Hot, emotional, boo-hooing, wanna drink a couple bottles of wine, take a couple of xannies, eyes swollen shut ,wearing granny glasses after wearing icepacks overnight, so I can see to fill out the forms, official mommeh mess! Crying until I have snot pouring out of my nose, drool coming out of my mouth, sniffling, running through a whole roll of toilet paper, as I try to snuff all the snot back up into my nose, squeezing my kegel muscles, as I refuse to leave the window, in case my baby needs me stalker mode, as I imagine myself sitting outside her school the first day, stalking my kid through the classroom window. Yep, he soooooo doesn't get it. Only mommies get it!

So after a little verbal tussle over the phoney phone, and a return call to yours truly, wifey dear, he worked it out.  But still wanted to argue.  Growl. Down girl, down, inner leo-tigress, you won! Easy girl!

I DON'T CARE

Can I get a pity party up in here? I mean seriously! I DO NOT GIVE A RATS A$$ that Dionne Warwick has filed for bankruptcy.  So have I.  Where is my pity party and national news coverage?  She filed for bankruptcy to get out from under her back taxes?  In my state you are not allowed to include back taxes in your bankruptcy.  I will be cutting the IRS a check every month for probably the rest of my life, cause I screwed up for a few years. How come she gets to claim hers? Is it a NJ thing or what? Anybody out there care to chime in on the finer points of NJ tax law?

I mean seriously, can I get some national news coverage? It would be great blog traffic! I do not feel bad for her at all, poor little rich old lady.  I am willing to bet that she has a hell of a lot more hidden away than the $2000 asset limit I was allowed.  Furs, cars, jewelry, playboys hiding in her walk in closet #3, free lunches, free designer clothes, free media coverage anytime she desires, and I'm all like over here, could I have gotten my diamond ring not included, so I didn't have to hide or pawn it? Ree-dick-you-luus! She goes on tv wearing a fur coat and files for bankruptcy? Is there a separate set of rules for the rich and famous? Oh that's right she knows somebody, who knows somebody, who screwed somebody , that saw her on the psychic network! Oh...It's poor dead Whitney's auntie, let's cut her a break! My mom died, and nobody told me I didn't have to pay taxes, and gave me free clothes to wear! Right! Seriously? It just makes me angry! So angry! I could just wring her neck! Love me because I am a poor little rich celebrity, and boo hoo hoo, I am having a hard time, so I will put out a public appeal for sympathy! Buuuut I got to keep my cars, my house, my whatever the hell else that I stowed away in offshore accounts and safe deposit boxes.  I bet she never has the threat of someone doing a home inspection to make sure she is not lying.  How come we hold the rich and famous to a different standard?

I am going through one of the hardest times of my recent life, and hardly anybody knows, or gives a shit! It is embarrassing to air your personal shit in public, not to mention it could affect the future career of a normal person, if publicly aired.  Lawsuits, taxes, bankruptcy, losing your house, cars, stuff, family disowning you over monetary shit that really has nuttin to do with you, those are real life issues.  Not some silly celebrity, who is too stupid to manage her own finances in the first place.  I have NO SYMPATHY for Dionne Warwick.

Just like I have no sympathy for those who live a jet set lifestyle, at 33, on their parents dime.  Isn't it time to grow the eff up? When you have been married for almost 10 years, been in school for 12, and have a child, it is time to grow up and get a real job. Time to pay for your own shit. Time to remove yourself from daddy's car insurance and stop lying about what internet ordered "meds" that your insurance won't cover, to scam a parent out of an easy grand a month. Time to learn accountability, time to clean up your own messes and handle your own mistakes.  Time to stop helping yourself to your father's bank account, and blaming it on your dead mom.  Nobody would let me out of 20,000 worth of fraud charges(then again I wouldn't steal 20,000 from a loved one), but knowing my luck, they sure as hell would try to ruin me by suing me for embezzlement, damn well knowing I didn't take a thing, and could prove the innocence.  Millionaires have money to play with, to screw with you with, and seriously eff up peoples lives. They have lawyers on retainer for sport. I cannot stand people who aspire to be these, fake celebrities.  Having a couple of them in my life, however remotely up until a week ago, I have learned a few things.  The desperate to be famous, will do anything to get ahead.  Lie, cheat, and steal.  Even from their own families.  Their clean healthy living lifestyle that they market, their squeaky clean image, is totally fake. When you lie, cheat , and steal to support your lifestyle, or "sport" it becomes an addiction.  An unhealthy addiction.  Just like drugs or alcohol.  And when the monetary assistance is cut off, they drop you like a hot potato! Family or not!

So I hate pity parties for celebrities! Disgusting! Makes me sick! The sheer sense of entitlement they all posess is just sickening!  All they will ever care about is number one, themselves.  And smile at you, disarmingly charming with that holier than thou attitude!

End of vent.

The Multiple Personality Mother In Law

We have all heard the cliched mother in law stories.  Well my mother in law is the one they are all written about.  No, seriously.  So, in needing to get our most recent beach trip venting, off my chest, you are going to get the shortened history.  Starting with our first big encounter, up until this most recent encounter.
My mother in law is not a happy person.  She is two sided, two faced, and unmedicated, ignore the diagnosis, bi-polar manic depressive.  We are all convinced.  She is stuck in a teenager's frame of mind, and will not ever grow up.  She has to be the life of the party, or else.  The or else always being to everyone else's detriment.  She is one of those people, who even picks on and makes fun of her own pre-school granddaughter(which has almost gotten her punched or disowned more than a couple times.)  She is an over the top drama queen who has a self awarded WebMD degree.  She is that woman who stays bff's with all of the son's ex wives, and with all of the ex boyfriends and girlfriends of her granddaughter, grandson, and the cousins.  She is the lady who likes to think she has to always be the boss, boss everyone around, or that everything always has to be her idea.  She freaks out and has an anxiety attack before every family function(she has no control over her sisters or parents lives), and does not do well in big crowds.  She does not know how to make friends, which is why she doesn't have any, and if she actually gets her relatives to like her, she alienates them all.  She is an alcoholic, which she still hides from her parents, and has a coronary if at age 59, there is a beer in her house in a picture, or god forbid there is her own beer in a picture.  She will harrass you until you delete it.  She actually cares what people think of her every move, more so than what she cares about how those around her feel.  She is one of those rare gems, who truly has no filter.  Whatever rude, crass, or downright mean things come to her mind, actually fly out of her mouth.  There is no thinking before speaking with this one.  Thank goodness I was raised a southern lady with manners, and the ability to bite my tongue most of the time.  Big huge family fights and divisions occur when I do and have opened my mouth.  So I try my damndest to just keep it shut, for the sake of my husband.  Who would not have a relationship at all with her, if I had not encouraged it, and convinced him to forgive her for his childhood.  What was I thinking? Eeee gads!

One of Those Days...

Ever have one of those days? One of those exceptionally craptastic days?  I don't mean just any old craptastic day, I mean  the kind where your future hangs in the balance?  The kind where time slows down, and the meeting that is taking place in some random lawyer's office, to decide your future, stretches on forever?  When you are sitting on the edge of your seat and hanging onto your sanity, trying to be strong, and all there is, is the waiting?
Yup that's where I am right this very second.  Waiting on that phone call to let me know how bad the bad will be.  So I decided to vent about it.  That it why I created this site.  To vent about things with out the backlash of family and friends who shouldn't hear and know people who shouldn't hear what I am saying?  So by now you have probably freaking figured out that I write to stay sane? Well if you had not, there it is!  So I am losing my mind here!  ACK! Dammit! F*&%(I will go far, but not that f*&%ing far!) Growl, Urgh, Baaaaah, whine, (double facepalm)! I hate waiting!
I hate waiting almost as much as the f*&%ers that are trying to destroy our lives! There are no words yet as to what I want to call "them."  So for now let them be known by simply, "them". I cannot fathom how one gets to be so self righteous and self important, as to want to destroy someone else.  Destroy their career, their livelihood, their reputation, make everyone hate them.   Okay, I thought of a good name for "them", the self-righteous bastards.  Hence forth let them be known as "self-righteous bastards".
I just do not understand.  It happened to me before.  Now it is happening again, only much worse this time.  It's like the universe is saying, fight back dammit, we're gonna keep throwing this shit atcha until you fight back.  I am tired of fighting, I am tired of being tested.  I am ready to go along my merry way.  Leave me and my family the hell alone thank you very little! ARGH!  Life is never easy! Life is a battle, and if your lucky you come out on the other side, ripped to shreds, bloody, bruised, but intact.  Some are not so lucky.

The Irrelevant Ex

Ever have one of those days when you can plainly see everyone else's hidden agenda? Yeah, and usually no one else will ever listen to you until way down the road, when something happens that makes the hidden agenda clear as a bell? Well this post is about an instance of foresight.  Clarity if you will. It's also going to be about relationships.  In my opinion, inappropriate relationships.
So when your husband has an ex wife or two, both of whom he has kids with, they are to a certain extent, going to be in your lives.  At least until the kids turn eighteen. One could only hope that major contact ends at eighteen.
So the other day, I was scrolling through my facebook feed, when I saw a post by my mother in law.  I was looking at the comments on her post, getting ready to scroll on down to the next post, when I saw it.  The post from ex wifey number one.  Yes there are two for future reference.  She had commented in response to a comment left by my husband for his mother.  Teasing my husband.  This makes me crazy.  I can feel my blood pressure boiling.  How dare she!  They do not have a "relationship" so to speak, as she signed away custody of their only child together, to keep her new husband out of jail for child abuse, when the child was four.  So for the last sixteen years, she has only seen her child by my husbands good graces and out of concern for his daughter.  His family always took the child to see her mother, she never made an effort.  She had no legal rights what so ever.
A couple of weeks later, ex wifey #1 commented on a comment, in an A/B conversation between my husband and his daughter only.  Then  it happened again on my MIL's facebook page.  So, I pointed it out to dear old hubbie.  He said I was being ridiculous.  Then it happened again in a manner so flirty and ridiculous, he couldn't deny what was she was doing.  It was so blatantly obvious, that he pointed it out to the MIL, and she deleted the post altogether.
What do you do when a totally irrelevant ex starts contacting your husband?  You stay calm, and point out to the husband what she is doing.  When that ex tries to get to know your husband/boyfriend again by facebook message, by reliving old times, after sending a friend request.  When they try to sneak back in by asking questions for a friend about their expertise or related specialty/line of work.   They will even send emails asking relationship and divorce advice on their current disastrous marriage/relationship.  Those late night calls asking why didn't we work out? How come you love her so much? What does she have that I don't?  They will try to get back in good with their former in laws.  What do you do?  You remain the calm one.  When you find the information above that I have just mentioned, you figure out a way to cut them off at the pass.  I kept my mouth shut until my husband fessed up, and when he did, I laid the guilt trip on him about what would our daughter think, if ex #1 told him that they had been chatting, and when our daughter mentioned it to me, I didn't know?  What would that say to our daughter?  Boom! Defriended.  The irrelevant ex did keep trying, however.  He now recognizes her ploys.  He sees her for the pathetic individual she actually is.  When she tried to email him, he sent her snarky emails, only answering her with vague euphemisms.  So she stopped emailing.
Then she more recently has started the facebook commenting.  Noting that everything is a coincidence.  You like chili?  It's your son's specialty? What a coincidence, It's my specialty too!  My son is making me, dear old mom, chili and having us over!  She comments with really? What a coincidence, I am making chili today too!  Whatever is missing in your life darling, your not finding it with my husband!  You missed that train a long time ago!  Please stop flirting with him.  It is inappropriate.  I am sorry that you have six more kids, after my daughter that you signed away, oh I am sorry, the oldest filed for emancipation after completing her probation for shoplifting.  Oh and she is a sweetheart.  No thanks to you.  She also got pregnant at 16, and just had a baby at 17.  Great job parenting there, old mother of the year.  Oh and it's not 5 kids anymore either, because the next daughter called CPS on your ass after dear old dad was inappropriately doing what?  While you were where?  And so that she is now a ward of the state.  And this is the child who doesn't want to go home so badly, that when they get ready to send her home, she makes up another  mental illness.  Smart girl this one.  Manipulative, oh and suspected pimping herself out to old men as well as shoplifting..  So where were we? Oh yes we are down to 4 kids, but wait there's more!  Kid #4 doesn't want to take care of kids 3, 2, and 1, so what does she do? Runs away repeatedly for days with a 21 year old, when she is only 14.  So what does dear old mom do you ask?  She says woe is me, and signs custody of this one over to the state as well.  I say don't pop them out if you cannot pay for them!  This is the same family, where daddy quit a $60,000+ a year salaried job, because it would affect their welfare, and food stamps.  Right.  A family where welfare is a way of life, and where the cycle perpetuates itself.  Then mom leaves dad, and she doesn't want CPS poking their nose in her business anymore, so she stops receiving welfare.  The 3 year old is starving.  She doesn't want CPS to pick up on the fact that she is a pot head, as well as dear old dad.
So that pretty much brings you up to speed.  The mom works two jobs, is trying to raise 3 kids on her own, has a new boyfriend, and has time to flirt with her ex husband.  Manipulative, stupid, trifling bitch, and a pathetic excuse for a mother and human being.  I am not even going into what she and her husband did to my oldest step daughter.  Notice how I say mine?  That's right she is mine, he is mine, and they will never be yours again.  So leave my family alone.  What you and the eldest daughter do to try to re-establish a never existent relationship is up to her.  If my MIL chooses to have you in her life, so be it.  Stop trying to get all buddy buddy with my husband.  He doesn't want any attention from you.  I do not want you contacting my family.  I am a lady, but I will kick your ass.   My husband and I have been together almost 15 years.  It was 21-22 years ago, get over it already.  So while I vent, and rant and rave in this post and keep from fussing at hubbie and seeming jealous, to get out my frustrations, I know, in my hearrt of hearts, that she is still the very irrelevant ex.
